Wow, it's been a long time! But I've been itching to get on here for ages and now that my karma has changed and we've been given a computer from freecycle, here I am! So this blog has changed a bit too. I originally wrote that I wanted to write about our experiences of looking into fostering, but that's not an option at the moment as Phil doesn't feel it's the right time. I'm a little disappointed as I thought the info evening was interesting and would've liked to look into it a bit more - dare I say that I think we'd be good at it?! - but we'd both need to be totally committed to it so hopefully it's something we can reconsider in the future.

So I've decided to be a little selfish in this blog and just indulge myself writing about our family and the things I'm enjoying. I finally finished a bag for a lovely mummy on the GP forum and I'm desperately hoping to get a few minutes to start another one for the LETs scheme as the mummy who requested it has been so patient and understanding while Finn's been ill and clingy and Christmas happened! Anyway, I was very proud of the bag (although it didn't turn out the way I expected so was pleasantly surprised by how well it was received!) and have also just finished Chloe's scarf. It was meant to be her Christmas present but again, time was very short. I'm so pleased with it - it's my first ever knitting project! I'm planning to make some blocks for Finn's birthday from some spare fleece and I found an offcut for £1 with gorgeous applique animals on it and really want to make him some trousers with that too. Photos will follow!

Must go back out into the rain and wind now to escort 30 kids to the swimming pool...what fun!
