Fall seven times, stand up eight
Japanese proverb
Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.
Jawaharlal Nehru, statesman (1889-1964)
This has been a tough week so I've picked these quotes to remind me that life is never fair, but our responses to the things that happen make all the difference.
Joys:
Phil and I seem more of a team
I've read a lot this week
We had a nice day yesterday with some of Phil's friends
My parents came and spent a lovely day with us on friday
We've booked to go to Quest next weekend and Chloe is excited about a reiki for kids workshop which I hope will help
We're all enjoying our family time
Concerns:
It's a stressful start to the week tomorrow, too many places to be and too little time
Finn's sleep seems to be getting worse
Chloe's behaviour is still extremely challenging
The world seems very unstable at the moment and it scares me :(
And I'm finishing with a song by one of the most wonderful performers I've ever seen, who I believe was as screwed up as they come but had an incredible gift. Yes, I'm an 80s child!
"Smile"
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...
If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...
If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
Please share if you feel inclined :-) And if not, have a wonderful week anyway!

Thought I would share with you!
Joys: I am about to become a mummy for the second time: how very exciting!
I love my husband truly and appreciate every second we have together.
Concerns: How in hell's name this baby will come out is anyone's guess.
I am worried about how tired I will be, feeding a baby and entertaining a three-year-old.
Hugs to you xxxx
Oh thank you for sharing! Sounds silly, but I'm excited for you too - and I have no doubt you'll manage it all perfectly and shine through the tiredness!
