Funny girls

This morning, the big sister put the little sister in a dolly's pushchair and pushed her around the lounge for half an hour. Just look at those delicious toes! The little sister found this very funny (so did the big sister, and the brother, too!) and the mummy thought lots about time passing and how lovely it is to see these children playing together and loving each other so much.

This picture shows the same pushchair, almost nine years ago, seating a tiny girl who is now the big sister... We had our plans cancelled today so we've had an enforced day of catching up - wandering around a camping shop, watching the big girl on the climbing wall and then doing our shopping. It's the first time we've all been to the supermarket together since the littlest girl was born, I think. It reminded me why I hate shopping! The children were far more patient than I was and we only managed to forget half of the things on the list. It was very mundane but so nice to be out with everyone together, and nicer still to come home together and be snuggly inside while the wind and rain torrent outside. I love this little piece of perfection, here in our untidy, noisy, busy house in this confusing, crazy, sad and beautiful world. I feel so thankful for all of it today xx
